The award was given to the manager of Agencia Redes for her commitment to internationalisation. Along with her, 15 other leading exporters were recognised.
Through its network of 16 regional offices, ProChile chose for the second consecutive year the most relevant women exporters in their area. In the Antofagasta region, the “Mujer Exporta” award went to Paola Quezada, manager of Agencia Redes.
According to the institution, categories corresponding to the 2030 sustainable development goals proposed by the United Nations Organization to promote more inclusive international trade were taken into reference, considering female empowerment in the export sector as one of its main strategic focuses.
Thus, in its second year, the distinction highlights one businesswoman per region, who represents values such as: commitment to internationalization, contribution to female employment and relevance in their territory, among others.
“This distinction seeks to highlight those women who, from their fields, transform foreign trade, creating, reinventing and consolidating projects that make women’s skills and abilities visible to stimulate new businesses. As an institution, we want to continue encouraging and increasing the incorporation of women in foreign trade. For this reason, we will continue working so that in 2024 we can encourage the participation of more women in the internationalization of goods, services and mining solutions throughout the world,” said the regional director of ProChile Antofagasta, Marcia Rojas Ponce.
ProChile states that Quezada was selected for her role in the company Agencia Redes, a company with national and international reach that provides comprehensive solutions to communication challenges in areas such as mining and energy, among others, in addition to being the manager and executor of community relations projects for large mining and renewable energy companies in the north of our country. It also exports digital content to an English agency through a subsidiary in Brazil and maintains two agreements with Mexico; one with the Mining Cluster of the state of Sonora and another with a renewable energy company called EMMI.
Regarding the award, Paola Quezada said: “I am honored to receive the Mujer Exporta 2023 award given by ProChile, because it is a genuine sign of recognition for all the effort that Agencia Redes has made during its last eight years. We have dedicated ourselves to adding value to our services, not only in the regional or national market but internationally, always dreaming big, but also always with a strong territorial awareness and going out from our region to the world.”
The award ceremony will take place on December 20, 2023, in the Tarapacá region, specifically in Humberstone, where all the winners will meet and all participants will also be offered a sample of the area’s ancestral gastronomy.
